Last week, Max, my boyfriend, came to visit me. See, while Semester at Sea is gonna be GREAT, it means I’m not gonna see my favorite people, like him, for a long time. Which is sad.
Luckily, we had an amazing week, with enough great moments to keep us love filled and happy for at least a little bit of the next 5 months of long distancing it.
Let’s highlight some of the great times!
- Max getting creative with his poses after I made him take 39834 pictures
- seeing the fish at Atlantis (while simultaneously trying to avoid my little cousins, who were STALKING US)
- getting this perfect picture
- Max’s excitement at learning all about Bahamian culture and junkanoo
- Max’s actual excitement over finding this cool hat (that he barely took off for the rest of the week)
- Drinking way too many daiquiris
- Watching how amazed Max was by the color of our ocean
- (Trying to) catch fish!
- Feeding the Piggies
- Seeing Exuma (or at least, a little part of it) from atop a cliff we hiked
Sadly, the week went by way too fast but it was perfect in every way. Between stargazing, sunset watching, off tune singing, swimming with sharks, turtles, fishes, it couldn’t have been any better as a way to show my american boy the bahamian ways.
